Hey there, I know this is so random but I'd just like to tell you how thankful I am to have read your comment here.  It's been such a big dilemma of mine for many years and if I could go back and do it all over again, I would do more research on finding alternate routes instead of sticking to an "art program" or going for a degree. I consider myself a very late bloomer in my prospective career because I've made some bad decisions in the past that had me second-guessing over and over about having art as a career instead of just a hobby. When I think about where my future lies, it's always some shady fantasy of being this successful artist with her own studio making lots of $$$. I need a serious reality check because I still believe that's the way to go. Anyhow, I hope this doesn't sound too pitiful of a story to read about. Thanks again for sharing your advice to that topic.
